The Solution registers the "<System.webServer>"-node as an EnsureChildNode. Upon undo-ing the modification, it will remove the entire node. In our case it would also remove UrlRewrite-configuration inside the node.

It's better to use the EnsureSectionNode for the "System.webServer"-node.

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - Just downloaded and tried out the Toolbar Manager addin, Almost exactly what I was looking for. If I could have it applied once to calendar and affect all views that would be even greater. It allows you on view, by view basis to turn off different parts of the toolbars, on lists and on calendars, so you can disable giving users the options to connect to Outlook to a single calendar. Thank you!

The UniqueColumnPolicy doesn't work with looup fields (including users) although these fields are listed in UniqueColumnSettings.ascx.
THis is because the CAML query created in Validation.cs only returns the ID as the value.
There is a simple way to avoid this: detecting if the field type is "User" or "Lookup" and if so, add the following attribute to the FieldRef node LookupId="TRUE".

You will find attachedd the updated Validation.cs (modifications are from line 101 to line 116)

How can I add this Validation.cs file to solution? I am new to features and was wondering if I have to replace the file and then load it to my Sharepoint collection or can I do it after its already deployed?

New Post: Issue installing "manage web configurations modifications" feature: access denied

I downloaded the web configuration modification feature solution file, and tried to install like this:

stsadm -o addsolution -filename ManageConfigMods.wsp
stsadm -o deploysolution -name ManageConfigMods.wsp -immediate -allowGacDeployment

It seemed to work, and the link showed up in the Operations tab like it should, but when I click it (as a farm admin user), I get an Access Denied error page redirect.

Is there something special that has to be done to get it to work?

I installed this on a SharePoint 2007 farm, and it appears in the Operations tab as it should, but when I click on it, I get directed to an Access Denied error page. The currently signed in user is a farm admin. I tried with another farm admin user and got the same error. What't the deal?

The hyperlink generated in the Tree always point to the root of web application. This is fine if your site collection is at the root of the web application, but what if your site collection is a sub web...

I have loaded details of a customer on a list and was able to load the data with out any problem using sharepoint list destination. We have a lookup column called customerid looking at customer list I just loaded . This lookup column is in a list, called Customer Main, so I am trying to load additional data for customer in this customer Main list which contains a lookup column called customerID. I was not able to load data into this cutsomerid column, whereas rest of the data is coming into sharepoint with out any problem. How should I load data into a lookup column. Please advise.

This Means the .asmx pages do not work on the sharepoint application affter adding the feature. This also prevent you edit the site using sharepoint designer because /_vti_bin/usergroup.asmx will give a 401.
